4x100 RELAY



This is an Open Event only. The 4x100 meter relay was introduced in the 1989 Nationals in Santa Cruz and became an official scoring event in 1992.

Two competitors line up at opposite sides of the 100 meter run course. The first runner starts with a rubber baton ands runs 100 meters and hands the baton to the next runner who runs in the opposite direction the same 100 meter course. This procedure is repeated until all four runners have run the course. The first team to cross the finish line is the winner.
