| San Diego hosts the Foster's Lager 2000 USLA National Lifeguard Championships
and we look forward to having you with us, whether as a competitor or spectator.
The 2000 event will be nationally promoted by MTV, which also plans to
develop a televised special. Don’t miss being a part of the first USLA
competition promoted on national television!
The competition site is the Pacific Beach area of San Diego, alongside historic Crystal Pier. Because there are so many hotels, restaurants, and other amenities within easy walking distance, there is no host hotel. You are free to make your own decisions about where you want to be. We encourage you to try to stay as close to the competition site as possible, as we plan to hold as many related events within walking distance as we can. San Diego has many attractions besides our beautiful beaches and wonderful weather. The world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland, and Mexico are all a short drive away. Pacific Beach itself is one of the liveliest nighttime entertainment areas in San Diego. This will be a Nationals to remember. Don’t miss it!
